The White Sands Pupfish (21-30) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Roswell Invaders (36-15) on Sunday.

An RBI single by Erick Gaylord gave the Roswell Invaders the lead in the fifth inning.

Vincent Mejia reached base three times in the game for the Roswell Invaders. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Steve Sanguliano picked up the win for the Roswell Invaders. Sanguliano pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out five.

The White Sands Pupfish were led by Mark Leacoxs hitting. Leacox went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first and eighth innings.

Erik Zagone (4-4) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
