The Roswell Invaders (15-9) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring six runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 16-4 landslide win over the White Sands Pupfish (11-15) at Griggs Park.
The Roswell Invaders scored six runs in the second on the Roswell Invaders scored in the second on a three-run home run by Jim Smith, a two-run triple by Cody Bishop, and an RBI double by Joey Miller.
Bishop racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Roswell Invaders.
The White Sands Pupfish had no answer for Ethan Rosebeck, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Rosebeck held the White Sands Pupfish hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.
The White Sands Pupfish were led by Mark Daviss hitting. Davis went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Lars Liguori recorded his second win of the year for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered 10 hits.
Anthony Pastrana (1-2) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked five and struck out six.
The Roswell Invaders easily handled the White Sands Pupfish pitching as seven hitters combined for 14 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
